Treatments For Ripley

This is my foster dog Ripley! This poor girl was abandoned at my workplace a few months ago. She had such a bad ear infection that they looked like ground meat. She was matted and very dirty. Her "owners" were a few college kids that lived together. They said they just couldn't keep up with her medical needs anymore. I am inclined to think they didn't even try. When I looked into those squinty brown eyes I just couldn't leave her to be shipped to animal control. I knew they would just think She was too much work and euthanize her. I couldn't let that happen. So I cleaned her up, took her home and gave her some love. Unfortunately she has some ongoing medical issues that need to be addressed before she can find her fur-ever home. She desperately needs a dental cleaning with some inevitable extractions. She likely has food allergies and that prescription food is not cheap folks! There is a mass over her ribs that needs removed. We suspect it is a mast cell tumor. She may have dry eye but we can't address that until the food allergies, and thus the skin issues, are resolved. Once those issues are resolved I can focus on the biggest concern of all; her ears. They were in pretty rough shape when I got her. I've done my best to maintain them but they need the input of a specialist. They may require surgery. I will be contacting the internal medicine department at Blue pearl to check the costs soon. ***My goal with this go-fund-me is to provide her with the funds to have her medical issues addressed so she may be adopted.*** Ripley is such a sweet little lady! All she wants is to be fed and pet. She is a true lap-dog! We think she is 7-8 years old and is spayed. Once she gets to her fur-ever home she will be a constant shadow, always ready to provide some loving and eat all of the crumbs that may be dropped. I don't think she has a mean bone in her body! Even when my big dog gets in her face to try to play she just walks away. She is also perfectly fine with my kitty.
