Crystal's Medical Fund

Crystal is requesting your assistance for a trip to the Mayo Clinic in Arizona next month.

This is needed for plane tickets, hotel stays, and possible rental car. Crystal will have to come up with $2000 down to meet her deductible before she can even be seen.

On August 27, 2013 my sister was diagnosed with a bowel obstruction that was the size of a basketball. The doctors told our mother and her fiancé that she would come out of the surgery with a colostomy bag. She didn't.

After the surgery she wasn't allowed to leave the hospital until she had a solid bowel movement and that never happened. She utilizes the restroom up to twenty times a day and it makes for a miserable life; she can't work, she can't travel without accidents, socializing is difficult, all because the surgeon removed too much of her colon. This wasn't discovered until making multiple ER trips post-surgery.

Crystal has been prescribed multiple medications that could possibly help, but without that specific part of her colon she'll never be able to have regular bowel movements. For the last three years, her life has consisted of trial prescriptions and diet recommendations after trail prescriptions and diet recommendations... Unfortunately, nothing has worked.

She is finally getting a chance to go to the Mayo Clinic to possibly get a colostomy bag to help improve her everyday life. Crystal would love to a relatively normal life again and this is her chance; this is her last hope.
