Please help me recover from a employment scam

Donation protected
My name is Tamika Smith.  I applied for a Virtual Assistant position that was posted on www.weworkremotely.com by someone that turned out to be a scammer that was impersonating a news anchor named Bob Redell. The scammer hired me to be his Virtual Assistant, informed me that he listed my as his assistant and an authorized person on his business account. The scammer instructed me to link his alleged company’s account to my bank account so that money transfers could be completed for paying bills and buying supplies for his company. The scammer instructed me to transfer $3,000.00 one day and $9,500.00 another day to my account from his alleged company’s account. With those two transfers the scammer instructed me to withdraw the money and deposit it into a Bit Coin machine because he claimed that he needed to make some payments via BTC and for ordering office supplies. I deposited a total of $12,000.00 in the Bitcoin machine per the scammer’s instructions. After I withdrew the money from my account, the bank froze my account indefinitely stating that this was a scam. The two wire transfers for $12,000.00 were returned to my bank stating the transactions were not authorized. Due to the fraud, my bank had to overdraw my account by $12,000.00 and return the money to the account that the scammer instructed me to link to my account for the Virtual Assistant position. I now have a debt of $12,000.00 that I am responsible for paying my bank back or they will be filing a judgement against me for those funds! In addition to now being responsible for paying the money back to my bank, the scammer had me working on an excel spreadsheet calculating 1,795 employees alleged payroll. I was never paid for any of the work that I completed, which the scammer had me email him a time card for $1,200.00.

It’s very unfortunate and sad that people are out preying on people that’s in need for more income, which is why I applied for the supposed job that turned out to be an elaborate scam! This is so unfair and not right to do to someone as, I thought this was a legitimate job that he posted on www.weworkremotely.com!

This has been reported to the authorities, and unfortunately, the chances are nothing that I will be able to recover the money that I was scammed for.  Please share this story with your family members that the scammers are still out there and know what to say and do. You think it couldn't happen to you but, you don't know, until it’s too late.

If you are able to help, in any way, please do, anything will be appreciated. Thank You!
