Lou’s Emergency Surgery And Vet Bill

Hi everyone. I thought I would update you all on Lou's status. I ended up finding a suitable place to keep Lou, and am grateful for all the people who tried tried so hard to help me find her a good foster. Since my previous post she has been thriving; I have taken care of her numerous medical issues, dedicated a lot of time to give her proper training, and give to her the love affection that she has missed out on. Unfortunately, a few days ago, Lou broke the baby gate that leads into the laundry room and was unsupervised for less than 30 seconds. In this time, she managed to swallow 4 socks that were in a covered laundry basket. At the time I was under the assumption that she only ate 1 sock, because I only saw one small one being swallowed, and she was onlyin the room for such a short period of time that I did not think it possible to have swallowed more. I tried to pull it out of her mouth but unfortunately she was too quick. She passed 2 of the socks, and at the time I thought that was the worst of it. A day later she began to become lethargic, and that's when I knew something was wrong. I took her to the vet first thing in the morning and was suggested emergency surgery. I went through with it of course, and fortunately the surgery was a success. She is currently recovering at home under 24/7 supervision. As a college student, it has been hard for me to keep up with all her vet bills. Lou's previous owner abandoned her with a tremendous amount of health issues(she had various infections in her ear canal, on the scars from her botched ear cropping/posting, severe skin infection on her neck from repeated shock collar use, and a uterine infection). The vet bill from her first and second vet consultation was already a burden, and I did not want to ask for donations, but this time the cost is almost 4 times the amount of the original ones, and I truly would appreciate some aid, as I paid for this bill with money that is supposed to go towards my term 2 tuition (I am currently on financial hold) and most of my living expenses that I have saved up. I work very hard to provide her with all the love and affection she missed out on with her previous owner, and give her the life she deserves. I have attached photos of Lou's current state and the vet bill from this surgery. Please share and/or donate if you can, I will appreciate it greatly. Thank you for taking the time to read this and thanks again in advance for donating.
