Alex Kots Recovery
Donation protected
At approximately 2200 15 January 2018, my good friend and roommate, SGT Alex Kot, was found unresponsive in his barracks room. He was rushed to Fort Stewart's Wynn Army Hospital, where it was determined Alex had suffered a brain aneurysm and was life flighted to Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. He has just successfully underwent his second brain surgery and the doctors are hopeful, however, there is also a chance he may lose his ability to walk or even speak again. Alex is currently receiving medical care in the Intensive Care Unit where his battle will be for weeks and maybe months to come. In the next few days, we expect Alex will have at least one more surgery to come, and we are praying for a full recovery. Alex's entire family is sitting by his side throughout his entire battle. His family quickly packed their bags and made great efforts to be with Alex from across the country; they plan to be at Alex's side the entire time to cheer him on while he continues his battle . I'm raising money to give to his family in order to help out with lodging, food, and their normal expenses that they have to furnish every month. All money will go directly to his family to help them in any way they need. Alex is a dedicated soldier, one of the best I have ever met. He had plans to go to ranger school, air assault and airborne. He had high hopes for the military and never let anything stop him from achieving his goals and nothing will stop him. He's not just a friend, he's family; he's my brother just as much as he is yours. I know the military community takes care of their own, so I'm asking you to help your fellow soldier and his family in any way that you can! Thank you very much. I will post updates about his condition. Please send prayers for a full speedy recovery.
