$5 Challenge- DLF at Leeds

Hello everyone!
At the Leeds School of Business at CU Boulder, as a team, we were given a challenge. The challenge is this: What team can raise the most money in a two hour period? We were given an envelope with $5 and our goal was to use that $5 to make the most money possible in a two hour time frame. But, as a team, we realized that not using the $5 is the key. We must leverage other options to be the most successful. And, as an avenue to reach the most people, we decided to set up a GoFundMe. Also, the donation proceeds are going to go to an amazing charity with a great cause and to a business opportunity that we have set up for us, through our Dean's Leaders Fellowship class, during next semester.
Starting Tuesday (October30, 2018), we will be running a TWO HOUR GoFundMe! We ask that you donate any amount of money to help us out. The GoFundMe will be accepting donations from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
Sixty-percent of the proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer charity. It is Breast Cancer Awareness month and we, as a team, felt as if this would be a great way to bless those struggling with or affected by breast cancer. Many of our lives have been affected by breast cancer and we felt that this charity could use our donation money to help in cancer research, cancer care, and the overall well-being of the facilities of the charity. The Susan G. Komen charity often goes underfunded and it is our duty to help out those affected by this malicious disease.
In addition to the donation to Susan G. Komen, we will be applying the other forty-percent towards a business trip that we have in our Spring Semester. This trip will be the first time that us, as Leeds Business students, venture outside the school walls to apply what we have learned, in school, in a foreign and real world environment. During this trip, we will visit Milan and Bologna. We will visit food companies (Prosciutto Di Parma and Pecorino Romano), automotive companies (FIAT, Alfa Romeo, and other automotive companies) and companies in the fashion industry (Prada, Armani, Etro, and other clothing empires). Here, we will learn how to apply what we have learned in all of our business classes and business experiences to real world environments. We will get to meet with CEOs, businessmen and businesswomen, and other notable figures that are affiliated with the companies at hand. This trip is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we thank you so much for helping us get there with your generosity.
