Twisters Double Hip Surgery

Twister is a loving young boy of less than two years old. When he was rescued he was pulled from a backpack full of his siblings. Covered in fleas and urine, we gave this boy a good healthy home. We gave him love and everything he needed to grow into a beautiful young boy. Recently he has been unable to walk and has been in constant pain. The orthopedic consult told us that he has "spontaneous femoral capital physeal fractures" in both of his hips. That means that due to a very rare condition, caused by his origins, he has two broken hips and needs surgery or will have to be put down.  Twister was either born with underdeveloped hips or the conditions he was in before the rescue caused defects to the bones. With age the weakness became more detrimental until they both broke entirely. There are less than 30 cats with this known condition. This young boy who would run and play with his adopted brothers now has trouble eating and going to the bathroom on his own. He's living isolated and on multiple painkillers every day and desperately needs this surgery. We ask for anything you can give to help save this poor boy from pain or euthanasia. He needs your help, no matter how big or small.
