Valley HS Football Equipment Needs

Hello!!
My name is George Baker and I am the Head Varsity Football Coach at Valley High School in Las Vegas NV. Valley High School is one of the oldest high schools in Las Vegas, opening its doors in 1965. In those 50 years, the face of the demographics at Valley High School has changed immensely. At one point the zone was filled with very luxurious homes of the upper / middle class and a very hearty and thriving business community. Since the early part of the new millennium, the area of attendance has become very urban in nature. A majority of our student’s families are on some form of social assistance.
I am starting my second year as the head coach here at Valley HS, and we are very excited about direction we are going. This season one of our major focuses is to upgrade our equipment. One of the biggest obstacles we face in high school sports is the increasing financial cost of equipment and the declining amount of budgetary money that is provided to athletics. Our players do their best to get out and ask for help from the community, but almost all families are not able to contribute to these efforts. The cost of equipment, uniforms, supplies and the general day to day necessities required to run a successful program continue to grow, yet the amount we receive continues to decrease.
We are asking for your help in this area. We are in dire need of major equipment. Much of the equipment we use is 10 to 25 years old and is in very ill repair due to use and neglect. We need to purchase new sleds, blocking dummies and other football training equipment that will allow us to offer a safer and more fulfilling experience for our student athletes.
