Small Family Business Needs Help

We took over Auto Body Builders about 17 months ago from a family friend and made MANY improvements to the building and hired an awsome staff!  Within just a few weeks we had a neighbor calling the police, city and county about the business. After multiple complaints from him to the county and city, the Morro Bay City Planning Commision called a meeting. March 6th, 2017:  City Planning Commission called a meeting to decide if AUTO BODY BUILDERS can continue operating or have to shut down after 35 years in the same location WE WERE AWARDED APPROVAL & OUR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT!! The planning commission was awesome and decided that we proved that we were no harm to the neighborhood or the enviroment and had AMAZING support from all our family and friends. Just a few days after, the opposers decided to APPEAL the decision the planning comission made, regardless of it being approved by all members...  FAST FORWARD to TUESDAY MAY 23RD: The Morro Bay City Council voted and approved the conditional use permit for 5 years and then planned to "revisit" it.  THE VERY NEXT DAY:  We were  informed that even after planning commission approval, city council approval and being in the same location for 35 years.... The owner of the house next door (doesn't even live there) who has a family member that is a new attorney, filed a law suit against the city and us to drive us out of business. We need all the support we can get. My family was notified that we are on the hook for any fees, charges etc incurred by the city and the city attorney fighting this law suit plus.. we had to hire our own attorney to represent us personally. We DO NOT plan on rolling over or going away. We have spent close to 35k to date fighting this lawsuit with no end in near sight. while the complainer is getting FREE legal representation from his family member on this case that has been deemed frivolous by the city, city attorney and our personal attorney. Auto Body Builders has been a part of the community for 35 years and we plan on keeping that way!  We are asking for any help towards fighting off these complaintants and keeping the ONLY AUTO BODY & PAINT SHOP IN MORRO BAY IN BUSINESS!
