Get Back to Togo

Donation protected
Togo is a dime size on the map and it is right beside Ghana, it isn't popular, we are known for our mercury and over half of our people have the equivalent degrees to bachelors. the average person speaks 3 or more languages. We aren't the richest of African countries but we weren't also always the weakest. right now the average person barely takes 100 dollars home a month. the president and government workers live rich yet some schools barely have desks for the children to work on.

Many people sought out to other countries as my aunt did when she went to work in lybia but due to the scare of slavery that is now outbreaking evil many people such as my aunt are forced to come back home.

After the comment made by President Trump, many reactions were felt. To some, the statement means nothing, because they aren't really familiar with the feeling of having a place they once adored be degraded, and seen for less than it really is. Then again I thought on the matter and realized that there is a global vision of Africa as a whole, as in being one of the poorest places in the world.

I have two reasons for the making of this campaign 1) For my family and I to go visit my grandmother. My grandmother is sick and my aunt whom just came back from lybia can’t help her because she’s also not herself so she also needs the help, the medical staff back home tend to leave the people unless they are well paying. My sister had never seen my grandmother therefore we were trying to raise as much as we could to take her there too, my parents want to take care of her nor do they want me to go alone because or country is under rule of a dictator so us visiting is A risk but a much safer one than my grandmother coming here; because of this they can’t let just me or my sister go. I haven’t seen my grandmother since I moved here which was when I was 6 and my father hasn’t seen his mother since he has been here which was a few years years before I moved here with him and my mom. So the emergency would be that we want to be able to see her before it’s too late. The fight there for all of us is a total of 11,000 for the cheapest flight.

In in time I thought, I also don’t want to go there and not do anything. that’s where I thought about it how I could help the rest of the kids which is where 2 comes in.

As mentioned  I took the statement as a threat to what we had to offer as a continent and then personally for Togo as a country. currently, my country of Togo is under the rule of a dictator by the name of Faure. His family has been in power for almost 50 years and for this reason our country has crumbled. there was a point when all was well and growth was reaching our walls. being more fortunate I have been blessed to be able to use means of media to grow an audience but I also realized if I wanted to be part of a change in the idea that many had about Togo one I needed help. Regardless of the struggles that my country has, I would never go as far as to say it is the equivalent to the alleged statements made. I see good there, but also its the fact that I have family that resides there that grew up on that land such as my grandmother whom I haven't seen since I was six years of age; through the good and the bad and for me to agree to the negativity would be to mock them.

I've been asked" if you miss it so much why don't you go back?" and simply because of expenses. I plan on going back home with some of my family soon this summer, along with some of my old toys and clothing to give to the children who aren't fortunate to go to school, as well as tutor them in the summer, in order to be of aid to ones that aren't able to because of sickness or having to work in order to help the family. I am planning to teach abroad in Seoul within a year or two's time, therefore, this would also be a great chance to make a change, as well as gain all the experience I would need.  I would appreciate the help, therefore I ask for the help needed. Even so, if nothing can be donated, I ask that you share this on facebook. thank you and God bless.
