Mount Vernon Antiques Center Fire

Our Antique Center just burned to the ground on Christmas night. This is a building that had been there for over 50 years, the only Antiques Mall in the Mount Vernon area and within a 30 mile radius.This business was a second Home to the dealers that occupied it, and the customers that frequented it. From local and military families to interior designers and real estate stagers. Mount Vernon antique Center also housed the best computer sales and repair shop in the community, lower income families depended on it. I’m hoping to raise money for the dealers that may not have had insurance and their livelihoods depended on it. In addition, a number of the dealers are elderly and all they have is a military or and social security pension and their little shops is how they subsidized those pensions, those are the folks I made this page for. Most importantly, tending to their shops at the antique center was their daily passion, that kept these elderly people living an active and productive life. Let’s help them rebuild or set up shop elsewhere!
