The Kevin DiMaggio Fund

Donation protected
The fund we are setting up is to help with the medical care of Kevin DiMaggio and the needs of his family as they are traveling to John's Hopkins Oncology ICU.

Three and a half months ago, Kevin was diagnosed with CML Leukemia.  He started taking an oral chemo medicine and was doing well.  However, last week Kevin started feeling like he had the flu.  On Monday (2/22/16) he walked in to Carroll County General Hospital and very quickly went down hill.  As tests were run, it was determined that CCGH was not equipped to give him adequate care as the Leukemia had taken a terrible turn  for the worst.  Kevin was transported to Johns' Hopkins Oncology ICU late that night.

Figuring they had him stable, Ann went home when the transport was occuring.  She planned to go see him the next morning.  Two hours later, she received a call from Hopkins telling her they did not believe Kevin would make it through the night.  Ann and the rest of the family jumped in vehicles and headed to Baltimore.

This past week has been a lot of ups and downs.  The cancer at this time has become one of the lower priorities.  As Kevin struggled, his breathing and blood pressure had dropped and deprived him of oxygen.  This resulted in kidney failure, him being on a ventilator, and we are unsure of what damage has occured in his brain.  Currently the doctors found 3 spots on his brain.  They are unsure if he had a stroke due to the lack of oxygen, if it is cancer, or something else.   They are continuing to give him diligent care.

Kevin married his wife, Ann, about 28 years ago.  They have two children: Ryan (age 20) and Gina (age 16).  Kevin and his younger brother, Tom, own K&T Plumbing.  He is a great husband, father and friend.

The money being raised is to help offset the needs of his family while Kevin is at Hopkins.  It will be used to purchase parking stamps, gas cards, and whatever else they need.

We ask that you would pray for Kevin and his family above everything else.  Only God can perform the miracle he needs right now.  We have watched his name reach many, many people.  The outpouring of love and support has been humbling.  Thank you for considering making a gift to their family.  We pray that God would multiply it back to you and bless you for your kindness.

Philippians 4:19 (New Living Translation)
"And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus."
