Update from Nikki 22/11

This girl is a total legend, she’s saying a big f you to Alabama Rot. Both her kidney levels have dropped down to normal which the vets were not expecting at all as she has been off fluids now since Monday! She’s also less anaemic. She does have a slight temp but hopefully nothing to worry about. Will repeat bloods again on Saturday so fingers crossed she carries on improving. She’s amazing ❤️

Harper has been dropped off with the emergency vets to have round rare clock care.

Harper has eaten a little this morning and been out for a wee. As soon as I hear anything else I'll update you x

Update from Nikki. 12/11/17 Just been to visit Harper pups, she's looking so much better, alert and even pulled me around on the lead which was just amazing. Scared it's a false positive but right now happy to see her appearing better ❤️. I hate to beg but if she is getting better it will mean a lot longer on the drip I think which won't come cheap, I'm doing everything I can to raise funds my end by listing stuff on eBay but if any of you can even spare a pound it'll all help. #hopeforharperpups

16/11/17 - update from Nikki
Harper Looking bright this morning , not as anaemic which is good. We took her for a stroll along the prom and she was really strong

17/11/17 Update from Nikki - another positive improvement

Harper pups is continuing to improve, eating and drinking lots and is happy and waggy ❤️.

Vet says she is getting closer to a normal level she doesn’t know if she will plateau before normal or continue to drop but she is happy with her, she’s going to go back into the out of hours vets for the weekend and then we will reassess when bloods are repeated on Monday. She may well then come home for the evenings and back for fluids in the day or they may stop fluids all together it’ll all depend on Monday’s reading. We still don’t know if she will decline again when she is no longer on fluids but I’m (obviously) hopeful that she won’t.

I feel so lucky I don’t want to count my blessings just yet and jinx things as she isn’t out of the woods just yet but I’m feeling so much more hopeful than this time last week. I’m so grateful and always will be to indebted to Pam Donnelly for setting up the fund (I can’t seem to tag her) and also to everyone who’s donated and of course all of you for your moral support. Harper seems to have touched the hearts of so many ❤️

18/11 - update from Nikki

Naughty Harper Pups keeps chewing through her fluids drip. One over night so they popped another in which was gone in half an hour even with the cone of shame . Vet says she’s obviously feeling a bit better! She’s coming home for an hour or two to hopefully let off some steam before we take her to c vets and hope that she doesn’t keep chewing through. Any toys anyone can recommend to help distract her now she is feeling her usual spaniel self? Thought some bits and bobs in with her may distract her a bit and stop her chewing through the drips!

18/11 - Payment of £200 made to out of hours vet to covers Harpers care for this weekend.

22/11 - £670 fed paid to vet directly for Harpers care
