Hello! He is Christopher and since 2009 he is fighting against a type of cancer called NEUROBLASTOMA , a very rare malignant tumor that affects children of 1 year old or less and on rare occasions to children of 5 years old. Christopher was detected at age 9, which made his forecast more complicated.
Even so after 2 surgeries, many cycles of chemo, radiation, 1 autologous cell transplant in August 2012 he was put in remission for the first time.
In his follow-up studies, on June 14, 2014, he was diagnosed with a tumor in the sacral bone area with metastasis in both femur, both shoulders, in the sternum and in the right parietal.
The doctors told us again that their recovery was very, very difficult since the cancer in bone (and metastasis) was extremely difficult to attack since the drugs do not reach those areas.
We went back to chemotherapy and looked for other treatment options, that is how in October 2014 he was accepted in a protoloco of anti GD2 & T cells that was applied in March 2015 from which a partial benefit was obtained. We returned to Monterrey, Mexico to continue treating him with more chemotherapy, so until the end of 12 rounds in August 2015 the last one was applied.
A treatment with MIBG was necessary and November 2016 the necessary dose of MIBG was achieved and just when doing the study to assess the area with disease, the study frame that even though the tumor was still present, it did not show activity, so it was put in remission once more.
unfortunately, last October he had discomfort in his back and when performing a magnetic resonance, it was found that the disease had regested, this time to the spine. causing lack of strength and sensitivity of the chest down.
Once again the doctors do not have a good prognosis, but Christopher wants to keep fighting.
He now has 18 years with an admirable as after being fighting for 9 years against this disease not only this in front of the fight, but his state of mind reaches to make jokes about his condition with his legs and make jokes about it.

Aun así, después de 2 cirugías, muchos ciclos de quimioterapia, radiación, 1 trasplante de células autólogas en agosto de 2012, fue puesto en remisión por primera vez.
En sus estudios de seguimiento, el 14 de junio de 2014, se le diagnosticó un tumor en el área del hueso sacro con metástasis en ambos fémur, ambos hombros, en el esternón y en el parietal derecho.
Los médicos nos dijeron una vez más que su recuperación era muy, muy difícil ya que el cáncer en los huesos (y las metástasis) era extremadamente difícil de atacar ya que las drogas no llegan a esas áreas.
Volvimos a la quimioterapia y buscamos otras opciones de tratamiento, así es como en octubre de 2014 fue aceptado en un protoloco de células anti GD2 y T que se aplicó en marzo de 2015, del cual se obtuvo un beneficio parcial. Regresamos a Monterrey, México para seguir tratándolo con más quimioterapia, por lo que hasta el final de 12 rondas en agosto de 2015 se aplicó el último.
Fue necesario un tratamiento con MIBG y en noviembre de 2016 se logró la dosis necesaria de MIBG y justo cuando se realizó el estudio para evaluar el área con enfermedad, el estudio marco que aunque el tumor todavía estaba presente, no mostraba actividad, por lo que era poner en remisión una vez más.
desafortunadamente, en octubre pasado tuvo molestias en la espalda y cuando realizó una resonancia magnética, se descubrió que la enfermedad se había regado, esta vez en la columna vertebral, causando falta de fuerza y sensibilidad del cofre hacia abajo.
Una vez más, los médicos no tienen un buen pronóstico, pero Christopher quiere seguir luchando.
Ahora tiene 18 años con una vida admirable, ya que después de luchar durante 9 años contra el cancer, no solo esta frente a la pelea, sino que su estado de ánimo llega a reir sobre su condición con sus piernas y bromea al respecto.
