Dear Friends and Family,

Since I was young, I have had a desire to see the broken-hearted healed. To see those struggling with emotional and physical hurts find hope. Which, can be a difficult thing in this world.

I recently read a quote from Albert Einstein that rang very true for me. "School failed me, and I failed the school. It bored me. The teachers behaved like Feldwebel (sergeants). I wanted to learn what I wanted to know, but they wanted me to learn for the exam. Albert Einstein (1983)"As a teen-ager, I found myself bored with my classes... but, I would always find my way to the library. I would peruse the shelves, looking for what might peak my interest and teach me new things that were akin to my heart. One subject that I found myself going back to time and again, creating my own assignments and work studies for, was mental illness.
After watching family members and friends struggle with depression, anxiety and more. And, after struggling with years of depression and anxiety myself I found my heart breaking for those who were hurting.

As it happens with all of us at some point, my life took on a series of unexpected turns. Though I went to school and worked towards a degree in counseling that goal never met fruition.

As an adult I continued to struggle with depression and anxiety myself and remember at one point thinking, "this is just your life Genny. You will have good moments, but it will always come back to this." I had become eternally hopeless. Hopelessness happens to be one of the most classic symptoms of depression. An interesting thought considering God is hope, eternal hope.

It wasn't until after years of hurt, bitterness, depression, anxiety, diabetes, fibromyalgia, diagnosises of MS, Colitis, etc. AND being at a rock bottom that I reached out to the Lord for help... As He promises, there He was!

~Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my right hand.~

The past 7 years have been a journey of healing. As I heal from the inside the outside begins to align and heal as well. This is what The School of Ministry at Wellsprings teaches. That forgivness is crucial in removing bitterness and resentment from our lives, and that once we have been healed and allowed God to renew those thoughts within us we can have external (physical) healing and Freedom!

My heart is once again calling me to be a vessel to those who are hurting. To help them find the freedom for their lives that is so readily available to them through the Lord and this ministry.

Firstly, I would ask that you come along side me in prayer as I step bodly into this calling on my life. I would also ask you, that if your heart is moved along with mine, for your financial support for me to go to The Wellspring School of Ministry in Anchorage Alaska this July. I do understand that what I am doing might not speak to everyone, that is OK. I thank you for taking the time to read my letter!

The Wellspring School of Ministry is a two week training for learning to counsel and lead people through forgiveness and repentance prayer. There is required work leading up to the training which prepares you for the intensive two weeks. I have attached a link for anyone who would like to learn more about the ministry school.

Thank you again for your time.  May the Lord bless and keep each one of you!

Joyfully,
Genny
