My name is Michal Vaakil, and I'm the CEO at EGL Properties, Inc., a property management company in WLA.   For nearly 10 years, Eureka Young has done an amazing job coordinating the maintenance for our buildings and residents.  We celebrated with her when she got married, and had two adorable kids.  Now, we are trying to help as she struggles with the horrible crime committed against her six year-old son, Willie.  The initial campaign here is to help Eureka and her family with their immediate financial needs so that all they need to focus on getting Willie better.  Here is Willie's story:

On Saturday, January 7, 2017, 6-year old, Willie Lee Young, III was shot and paralyzed from the chest down, while playing with his 7-year old sister, Lila, and another 8-year old cousin outside of an uncle's home.  Approximately 40 immediate and extended family members from California, Alabama and Florida had gathered to celebrate visiting family, as well as his father, Willie Lee Young, Jr.'s Initial Sermon to be given the following day at Solid Rock Baptist Church in Los Angeles.

As a loving and faith-centered family spread out over several states, they were happily catching up and peacefully enjoying their reunion and celebrating this milestone in Willie Jr.'s spiritual journey, when unspeakable tragedy struck he and his wife, Eureka's innocent son. It had only been a little over an hour that Willie, Jr. had picked Eureka up from the airport- returning from taking their eldest daughter, Tiara Fallie, to Alabama A&M University (where she is currently attending school)- and then rushed over to meet the rest of the family.

Little Willie III is an extremely active, agile boy who would actually hop, skip and jump while walking- and who had been riding nonstop his new bicycle that he got as a Christmas present. He had also just celebrated his 6th birthday on New Years Eve at John's Incredible Pizza and Disney On Ice.
Willie III is a very thoughtful, considerate, and generous boy who always helps his parents by sweeping, washing the car, cleaning the house, taking out the trash, and carrying in the groceries. He loves all things "Star Wars" and is becoming a very talented drummer (on his third drum set), and wants to play in the church one day just like his daddy.

All donations will immediately go towards Willie III's rehabilitation (and its many demands), therapy, and management of his medical care. All support and resources will go toward family assistance and to lift up Willie Lee Young, III, his parents and siblings during this extraordinary time of need with the difficult challenges that they are now facing. Any donation would not only be warmly received, but deeply appreciated with an overflowing abundance of healing love...
