My name is Jasmine and I'm 24 years old. I have always been overweight since childhood due to having hypothyroidism and PCOS. This escalated during my late teen, early twenties, due to a controlling and abusive relationship and being the victim of a violent crime. In 2014, After 4 years, I'd managed to safely get out of the relationship and decided to save myself. I was pre-diabetic, and a whopping 140kg. This wasn't time for excuses, 'I cant's', or blaming everything on my medical conditions. I worked hard, very hard and lost 50kg very fast and my body suffered. The skin couldn't keep up and after years of neglect, didn't want to. I have continued to lose weight and am finally at my goal but excess skin around my abdomen is still very apparent, although I hide it underneath clothing.
