Carrie began her day as she always did not knowing that soon her life would be
changed forever. Carrie began her day by
getting her children up and ready for school.
She dropped her children off at school and then on her way home she
rolled her car several times. It has
been a very difficult few days as Carrie has fought to stay alive. She has made it through two surgeries to stabilize
her broken neck that she sustained in the accident. Carrie is now paralyzed from the chest down
and is in need of continuous prayers.
Carrie does not have insurance and her hospital bills are quickly mounting. When the time comes for her to come home there are going to be many thing that will have to be changed in order for her transition to be a little smoother. I am setting up this fundraiser for her because she and her family are going to need help with so many things. They will need to make her home wheelchair accessible and friendly by installing a ramp and making doorways wide enough for a wheelchair. Things will also need to be installed in the bathroom such as bars and handles. She may also need a Hoyer lift to help with transferring her and a hospital bed. Hopefully we can raise enough money for Carrie so that she can get a van with a lift. I cannot imagine all of the things that she will need once she comes home in order to make her home safe and comfortable for her.
Thankfully Carrie has amazing family and friends that are there for her and her children. I am unsure of what needs her children may have but I am sure that there are or will be expenses in the weeks/months to come.
This is one of the most amazing families I have ever known anything that you can afford to do to help will be greatly appreciated. If you are not able to give financially please keep them in your prayers. Thank you so very much.
