PLEASE HELP THIS UNEMPLOYED CALIFORNIA SCHOOL TEACHER START HER OWN BUSINESS!

In 2009, I was laid off from my sixth grade teaching position. Four years and over 1000 applications later, I am still basically unemployed. I was told by three different school districts that I was too expensive due to my education and experience. I was told that they could almost get two college graduates for what they would have to pay me. So my experience and education were working against me. I know the skills that I have being a teacher since 1985 are transferable to many other occupations, but breaking into a new career at my age without experience has been extremely challenging. I am currently working a part-time job making just a little over minimum wage.

I felt God's nudging to start my own business. I just didn't know what business to do. Two incredible opportunities presented themselves to me at the same time! I am excited about both of them! The first one I'm doing with my husband. It is a network marketing business with a remarkable company, but it will take some time to build in order to become a steady income. The second is an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) home staging business that can generate a steady income right away!



An ASP Home Stager basically prepares a house to be sold, by either utilizing the home owner's furnishings, or staging a vacant home with rented or purchased furniture and accessories.

I feel passionate about being an ASP Home Stager! It is something that fulfills my creative need while helping others to sell their houses for top dollar. I am confident that I will be successful in this business, but I need to get out there and get started today. I have finally found a business that I love and will be lucrative! Unfortunately, the lack of funds is hindering me. It truly takes money to make money! Someone very generously paid for the training I needed to get certified as an Accredited Staging Professional. I just need funds to get started. Crowdfunding is such a great concept because every donation counts large or small! My hope is to be up and running in less than three weeks.
