Making Dreams Come True

I am a volunteer with Homestart Liverpool who work with families who have at least 1 child under the age of 5.  We recieved a new referral to support Darren & Linda and the Senior Organiser went out to visit them and assess what Homestart could offer. Linda (41)had given birth 16 weeks before to her first and only child, baby Breyer.  After giving birth Linda had Puritary Embolism and went into a coma. Darren who himself was struggling with mobility was left to look after baby Breyer.  Linda was in hospital for 3 weeks and was left with Bell's Palsy and other medical issues. Since then Darren who spent his early years in the Army (47) has been diagnosed with Motor Nuerones Disease. Darren has had to give up his job and is now unable to walk unaided and is deteriorating on a rapid basis. Darren and Linda's dream was to get married after the birth of their daughter and live a full life together this however is not now going to be possible.
We are trying to raise the funds to enable Darren and Linda to fulfill at least part of their dream by getting married.  The reason we are raising the funds is because Darren also has no life insurance or source of income and is having to sell his car to pay for his pending funeral. The support will mean that the family will have something special to remember and Breyer may not have Darren around for her childhood but she will have life long memories & photographs and a DVD of their special day with her being part of it. Darren is such an inspiration and truly admired for his outlook and positivity despite what life has thrown at him and his family. We are asking people to look inside their hearts and picture what life would be like for all concerned in this family at present and in the future.
We need to raise the funds very soon to enable Darren to fully participate as his consultant has informed him he cannotgive him a time on his life expectancy and he is deteriorating rapidly. All donations will be acknowledged and extremely appreciated.
