$6,404 of $6,000 goal

Raised by 98 people in 12 months
                                                                                 ( Español Abajo )

( We did not expect to meet the 4k goal in 4days! we have extended our goal amount to see how far we can go this week! please continue to share & donate the amount raised will still be shared evenly between the 4 zones.

Mexico has recently endured 2 massive earthquakes, the most recent in Central Mexico was a 7.1. In Magnitude  Leaving a total of 286 confirmed dead ( numbers continue to rise).  Dozens still missing/ trapped under rubble.

The Mexican government is breaking protocol instead of waiting. ie.  they are no longer supporting the search and & rescue effort, and wanting to move in with machinery. It is up to community to find loved ones. In our last massive Mexican earthquake in 85' many were still alive up to 7-10 days later.

And without basic medical supplies/tools such as oxygen tanks, victims can't recover/heal from injuries such as factured lungs/internal injuries.

While some zones have been getting relief/support, others in zones like: Xochimilco (Southern part of Mexico City) , Puebla, Oaxaca, and Morelos continue to await/are in desperate need of medical supplies ie. specific and expensive supplies such as small oxygen tanks, neck-braces, foldable-medical beds, insulin, syringes, epinephrine etc.

Our Intention:

We have launched this campaign with the goal of fundraising $4,000 To direct to each zone

1. Xochimilco  2. Puebla 3. Oaxaca 4. Morelos

$1,000 dollars is 17,883.10 mexican pesos . This will go a long way in helping each community.

We will be personally distributing the money to trusted community medical workers,  such as human rights defender/ Dr. Rodolfo Ordanza (Neurosurgeon) our long time comrade,  who serves at Hospital Angeles Pedregal, The CNI: Congreso Nacional Indigena,  through our comrade Mario Romero Luna ( indigenous/land rights defendor/CNI international relations coordinator) and Retorno 19 ( civil society in action) - all pro human rights/indigenous rights and long time fighters of Mexico's corrupted government,

Who have been in our network long before this tragedy.

Note: Photos of Receipts and Video Updates of how funds are spent/used will be provided. You will know where your money went.

This is a direct-community lead effort, no government agencies, non-profits, scams or exploitation.

On behalf of Semillas Collective,

We want to thank every single one of you who donated to our recent campaigns supporting direct, relief for indigenous communities affected by last month's earthquakes in Mexico.

We continue our work with ‘Retorno 19’, our medical-brigades and the Congreso Nacional Indigena ( which consists of the EZLN and other indigenous groups) in resistance. MariChuy CNI-CIG ‘Vocera’ ( Mexico’s first indigenous woman) to run for president gave our Chicanx sisters in NYC, her first official call as ‘Vocera’ thanking everyone for donating and reminding folks to continue the support.

It is an honor to continue collaborating with this amazing network of community, and human rights defenders committed to rebuilding with dignity and overcoming, continuous repression from the Mexican government.

We met our goal! For our “4forMx” GoFundMe and have launched a NEW campaign “Move4Mexico”.

Link: https://www.gofundme.com/move4mexico

This campaign is focused on ‘long-term’ relief, alongside this new gofundme is a beautiful dance-film created to help inspire more support, it’s title is “ Dejame Abrazarte Mexico” it was created with a lot of love by dancers from all over Mexico, we hope it inspires you and that you share. The need is just as high as it was in the first weeks, but donations have been extremely slow.

A simple share + message to your family, friends and colleagues , can go a long way.

Thank you for reading this & for the solidarity,

-Semillas Collective

In week 2, we are more united as communication has improved, we are now working with established trusted sites like "Retorno 19" that is working endless-and El Congreso Nacional Indigena "The CNI" ( who has been focusing on the recontruction indigenous communities). We continue to collaborate to plan a more long term and sustainable plan, as we know that this is only the beginning/ while focusing on saving lives and assuring the prevention of potential health epidemics in various damaged zones.
