Help For Bradley And Kelley Damron

As many of you know, I have had heart problems my entire life and am currently waiting for a transplant. I had my first pacemaker put in when I was 16 months old. Despite this, I tried to live a normal life. I graduated from high school and earned my Bachelor's Degree five years later. A few years after college, I began to have more problems with my my heart. I just thought I was getting sick, but it was the first warning signs that my condition was getting worse. In hindsight, my heart condition made it impossible to hold down a couple of my jobs. Eventually, a defibrillator wad implanted. However, I kept working until 2010 when I had to be rushed to the hospital. I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. At that point, my doctors would not clear me to go back to work. I have been on disability ever since. Two years ago, I fainted for a second. When I came to, I thought my pacemaker worked and everything was okay. Two months later, upon examining my device, it was discovered that my defibrillator had fired. Then, it fired four times on 2/2/17. Over the next few days, it fired 11 additional times. My doctors at the Cleveland Clinic decided that I needed a Left Ventricular Assist Device in order to survive until I could get a new heart. Meanwhile, my wife Kelley was forced to quit her job in order to take care of me. I currently need someone to change the dressing around my driveline everyday, and Kelley has been changing my dressing. We are also making a lot of trips to Cleveland. And those are adding up. We currently only have my disability check for us to live on. The cost for the trip and impending medical expenses are overwhelming. Our families have generously helped us more than once, but I know this is a burden for them as well. If you can spare it, we truly need it. We have depleted every cent that we have saved and just no longer have the money we need. After my transplant, this problem won't go away. I will have major medical expenses for the rest of my life. I have said that I would never ask others for money, but here I am doing just that. If you can only spare $1, we will be grateful for it. Anything more, and we'll still be grateful. We thank you for your support.
