Matts Ride Against Cancer

Donation protected
My name is Matthew Edwards and Im cycling from Sydney to Melbourne in order to raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital, and in particular the Taauso family. My goal is to raise $100,000 before I leave on the 26th of November 2017. I plan to donate 34% of any donations received to the Taauso family and 66% to the Royal Children’s hospital. Nine-year-old Eva Taauso was diagnosed with a brain tumour and optic nerve glioma, and is faced with a terrifying 12 months of chemotherapy and life-long monitoring. Eva began her chemotherapy treatment 1 month ago and has unfortunately lost part of her vision permanently. Her mother, Selesetina, has been in and out of hospital suffering form severe endometriosis, a painful disease affecting the uterus and ovaries. Selesetina’s mother was diagnosed with the same condition within mere months of her daughter. Eva’s father Manila is a hard working labourer who is attempting to provide for his family as well as pay for surgery and treatment for his young daughter, wife and mother in law. Manila is struggling to pay for carers; hospital bills and to maintain his job, with no family in Australia to provide support this is an almost impossible order. Please find it in your heart to donate anything you can spare ✌️
