Help Amber Heal

Amber Purcell was diagnosed with POTS (Postural Othostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) 3 years ago.  Since then her health has rapidily declined.  What was once infrequent fainting caused by rapid blood preasure decline, has become so frequent that Amber is often bed ridden for days or weeks.  

On Sunday May 21 st,  Amber fainted.  This time was much different.  She saw stars and the world went black.  When she came to she could not form words, or walk and the left side of her face drooped.  Amber was rushed to Saddleback Hosptial in Laguna Hills where she was tested for a stroke.  

Although Amber's test came back negative for stroke, she is still unable to regain all her speech or walk even a short distance without fainting.  Amber's cardiologist has been working diligently to get her into a PT hospital, in order for her to be strong enough to get to the Mayo Clinic and be seen by the best POTS specialist.  Unfortunately, the neurologist on staff has decided that Amber just needs to  "relax" and she will be fine.  The neuro has blocked every attempt to get Amber help and even attempted to block medication changes recommended by the POTS specialist.  

Without the ability for PT to be approved by the insurance, Amber will be sent home with no assistance to help her regain strength.  

 We are raising money to help pay for Amber to receive out patient PT, help paying medical bills and travel cost for the trip to Mayo Clinic in Arizona.    All funds raised will be managed by her mother, Rita Steiner.
