Hey guys! I am Heather Wolfe Smith, a painter, art instructor, gardener, and a HUGE pet lover! I am the owner and artist behind CollageAPet , a custom pet portrait business.
When I started this business 3 years ago, I always wondered how big it would become. Who would want a larger than life, mixed media, paper based pet portrait of their favorite furry friend? Turns out, a lot of people. Little by little, my client base grew from friends and family to people from out of state and across the country. Advertising, local dog shows, and word of mouth created a network of animal lovers who wanted CollageAPet’s unique approach to commemorating their pets. What a blessing to be a part of that story!
In late October, I received a letter that will change my life with CollageAPet in a big way.
The Westminster Kennel Club Board of Directors asked me to be one of the official exhibitors at the 2016 Westminster Dog Show in New York City! Less than 30 companies worldwide are given this prestigious opportunity.
So the passion and talent are there… now I just need the finances to make this a reality. The costs of participating are steep, but with your support, this opportunity can help me take my business to the next level—a lifelong dream of mine and something I work daily toward.
To participate, I need to raise $14,000 to pay for the exhibit fees ($6,000), booth display, marketing materials, transporting the art, and travel/lodging for me and 2 others who are volunteering their time to help work the show.
