Send Lisa to ISU SummerSpaceProgram
My name is Lisa Stojanovski and I want to be an astronaut. I've loved space ever since I was a child and attended the N.S.W School of Space Science 2009, Australian International Space School 2010 and the Young Astronauts Australia Engineering School in Houston, Texas in 2010.
In 2015 I began producing YouTube videos about space for the space media channel TMRO so I could share my passion for space and science with the world.
On November 19th 2015 I was awarded a half-scholarship to attend the International Space University's Southern Hemisphere Space Studies Program (ISU-SHSSP). I need to raise the remaining funds by 30th November in order to attend. These funds will cover my tuition and lodging for the 5-week intensive program hosted at the University of South Australia in Adelaide.
This program will allow me to study space science, space policy, space law and systems engineering in a country where these types of courses are not readily available. I would love to take what I learn and not only further my career goals, but inspire the next generation of children to become passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics too.
To show my thanks, I will produce short videos during the program, that describe the things I am learning and my overall experience. These will be available exclusively to those who have donated to my campaign. Anyone who pledges more than $20 will also have their name included in each video.
Now that my video diaries have been out there for you all to see, I'd like to share my experience with others so that they may see how life-changing SHSSP can be. Thank you again for all your support, and now everyone can see how you guys helped me reach my dreams.
You can find all the diaries in one public place, here: http://tiny.cc/lisadiary
Many thanks again,
Lisa
