Ciera's fight!

Donation protected
This go fund me is being setup for my daughter Ciera Williams. Ciera is one of six children. One month before her 14th birthday she was diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer. Ciera is a energetic, silly, happy, loving, sometimes bashful average teenage girl.
The signs she were having were very common and easy to overlook; stomach "pains" and a dry cough. The stomach pains were at first figured to be associated with her menstral cycle. Then two days later she developed a dry cough. Over the counter meds didn't help much and after her cycle was complete she was still having pains so we took her into Urgent care to be looked at as I started to worry if the pain and cough could be associated. When we arrived at the urgent care they took her vitals and decided to do a chest xray. The results showed she had some fluid in her left lung and a mass in her belly. They then decided to send her via ambulance to the local hospital. Once there in the ER Docotor examined her and asked that we her parents step out of the room, later we found out they were asking her if she was pregnant because that was their first thought after feeling her belly. Next they did an ultra sound where they were able to see the mass more closely. They started an IV gave her some fluids and pain meds. Once they felt she was stable they told us she needed to go to Children's Hospital in Detroit and that the urgent care Doctor should have sent her there instead of their ER.
When we arrived at Children's they did chest xray, ultral sound, catscan and urine and blood work. She was admitted and sent up to the Hematology/Oncology floor. The next day the Doctor told us they had scheduled her to have the mass removed and fluid drained from her lung on the following day.
The next day we sat in a waiting room surrounded by family members waiting for her surgery to be complete. After what felt like an eternity the Doctor came in and explained that the tumor started in her left ovary and grew so big it completely took it over. She showed us a picture and it was the size of a small football! She said the fluid was from small tumors that had spread to her lungs.
The following day they had enough results back to let us know they were pretty sure she had ovarian cancer.
After about a week in the hosptial she was sent home while the Doctor came up with a treatment plan.
The plan consists of weekly blood draws to determine her levels and chemotherapy every three weeks for three days at a time for 4-6 cycles depending on how she does.
We are currently in the hospital going through cycle 3. Ciera is doing well so far they are doing a great job managing her pain and nausea. We have a great team working with us at Children's Hospital!
The money raised from this go fund me will go towards any expenses not covered by her insurance, household bills, food and gas for the many trips back and forth to Children's which is about 35-45 minutes from our house depending on traffic. Both her father and I are working but because of her treatments and many appointments we have missed a lot of work.
Any and ALL help is greatly appreciated! Thank you and God bless!
