Gator Attack Survivor Needs Help!

Donation protected
On July 7, my dad, Scott Lahodik, Marine, Husband, and Father of seven children, was working in South Florida as one of only a handful of professional golf ball retrieval experts at a golf course, when he was severely attacked by a 10 foot alligator. The gator grabbed his left arm and took him into a "death roll". My dad was miraculously able to get free from the gator but suffered major blood loss, extensive damage, and is in tremendous amounts of pain. My dad is self-employed and the only wage earner of our family, which means he will not be able to work until his arm has totally healed.

The Lifeflight alone will cost thousands. To compound the situation, the gator attack happened almost 200 miles from my parents home, so they are now also faced with traveling expenses and mounting medical costs.

Though my dad has health insurance, this type of injury could become classified as catastrophic due to the long recovery and possible complications. We have learned that he will need at least one more surgery within the next few days and needs to be transferred to a facility closer to our home in order to get the best care possible.

As Christians, we are believing for a miracle from God, to help heal my dad, and are also asking for friends, relatives, and those in our community to please consider helping anyway they can. Our family appreciates your love, prayers, and help!
