Hello all!

Many of you know the story of little Finn for whom we've been asking for prayers. We love the Ague family like a second family. Their joys are our joys and their heartaches we share, too.

Here's a little information on sweet Finn. He was born at 37 weeks with multiple medical issues. He is currently a patient at CHOP Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, receiving care in their NICU. His condition changes daily. He has fluid in the ventricles of his brain, struggles with breathing, has experienced A-flutter and A-fib with his heart, his intestines curve the wrong way and will require surgery, possible blockage in his kidneys since they are currently enlarged, and possible genetic condition that they did test for and does have. Finnegan is a sweet, strong boy. He loves to cuddle, hold our hands, and pull at his wires. Now that his swelling is down, we can see his real features. He has dark blue eyes and dark hair. He looks like a wrinkly old man though :-)

So many of us have been praying for Baby Finnegan and we are so fortunate to see prayers being answered! We look forward to hearing the improvements in the health of this precious little baby as Erin and Kevin are able to update.

For us and for some of you as well, it's been somewhat a feeling of helplessness for the past few weeks wondering what and how we can best help Erin and Kevin while they are away from home, their daughter and are at CHOP with Finn.

We know that the Ague family is humbled by the love, prayers and gifts they've received. They have not requested help and are focused solely on Finn and Bridget and dreaming of life after hospital! ❤️ Rather, We have asked them to allow all of us to do this fund raising for them to meet any of the unexpected expenses that will arise. Truly, it's a relief that they've given all of us the go ahead. Needless to say, we love these kids and their kids!

Not knowing what and how many surgeries are ahead and with no exact timeline in sight for heading home, we've set up this fund so that any unanticipated expenses are covered. Thankfully, for now it appears that the major end of medical expenses will be covered. Also, just this week, Erin and Kevin are feeling very fortunate to have finally been able to obtain a room at nearby Ronald McDonalds house allowing them to be close to the hospital.

Thank you for considering a gift to go to this beautiful family. In their words, Kevin and Erin tell us ALL they need is our "love, prayers and positive vibes ". And that works, too!

Good morning...for all who have been asking, we've attached an up date on Finn from his mom and dad and big sis, Bridgett. Thank you doesn't begin to cover what it means to see all the support each of you have given this little boy and his family.
First of all, we can’t thank everyone ENOUGH for all the generous donations we have received toward helping our little Finnegan get better. We always knew we had a great support system, but we never realized how fantastic it truly is. The sweet words and prayers and positive thoughts that made it our way were so uplifting and gave us a sense of calm during many of these days and nights when we would start to worry about our little boy.

We are happy to say that Finnegan is stable and there is no immediate concern at this point, but he does have a long way to go. So the continued prayers are much needed. He has Respiratory Distress Syndrome which is the main concern right now, because until that is taken care of and he is breathing on his own without the CPAP, they will not be doing his necessary intestine surgery. So for anyone who focuses prayers, Finn can use them for his lungs right now and the strength to develop them more.

Right now the doctors feel that overall he is underdeveloped, even though he is now at term (just over 40 weeks), but his organs appear to not have fully developed. So we may be spending quite a bit of time here. Unfortunately, there is no discharge date in sight. Right now, we are waiting for the lungs to get stronger, do the malrotation surgery, and then from there, we don’t know. The doctors aren’t looking that far ahead right now. To give you a better idea of his current ailments, here is a list of his diagnoses at this time:

1. Arrhythmia
2. Respiratory Distress Syndrome (using a CPAP)
3. Ventriculomegaly of Brain
4. Congenital Caliectasis by ultrasound of the kidney
5. Metabolic Acidosis
6. Hydronephrosis
7. Malrotation of Intestine - Requires surgery
8. 22Q11A Microduplication

We are still waiting on a lot of blood work to come back, especially from genetics, so we do fear that this list will increase. Finnegan will be referred to Early Intervention Services at discharge and will likely require follow up with General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Nutrition, Genetics, Pulmonology, and Hematology.

With that, your continued prayers and thoughts are helping us all make it through day by day. We are so very fortunate to have so many family, friends, and in this case, strangers showing Finnegan their love and support. From the bottom of our hearts…thank you.

Kevin, Erin, Bridget (big sister), and Finnegan
