Dr. Maklin's Haitian Hospital

Dr. Eugene Maklin, a loving, kind, and brilliant Haitian doctor, is building a hospital of hope in a destitute area of Northern Haiti. Right now, over 250,000 Haitians have no way to get medical help.
All funds will directly help build this "New Hope Hospital" in an area so it can serve an enormous part of Northern Haiti, called Plaine Du Nord. The health needs are huge. The sick currently undertake a dangerous foot journey to distant hospitals to receive care, if they can even attempt it. As a result, many go untreated and suffer unnecessarily.
Dr. Maklin's plan is straighforward: employ Haitian workers to build the hospital, use a Haitian medical staff, provide HOPE to a large area of Northern Haiti.
Severe health problems cripple people in rural Haiti. This hospital will help solve a considerable number of major health problems:
rate of infant mortality/maternal mortality
cases of malnutrition
tuberculosis
intestinal worms
cholera
mortality due to tetanus, measles, polio, rubella
cancer
lymphatic filariasis
acute respiratory infections
The Haitian government wants to care for the poor and sick of the Plaine Du Norde, but has only given Dr. Maklin the land for the hospital. Now it is up to him to raise $300,000 to make this hospital building which will provide free healthcare.
