Aurora Godoy,

Mother of a 2 year old baby boy and wife of a great man passed away on December 2nd. Aurora was a victim at the Inland Regional Center shooting in San Bernardino. Aurora was a beautiful 26 year old woman who is leaving behind a beautiful baby boy named Alexander Godoy and loving husband, James Godoy. The Godoy family has always been positive, fun, loving and have grown on all of us in such a short amount of time. The Godoy's are more than coworkes or friends, they are family. As James and Alexander go through this difficult time during this holiday season, we want to help them in their time of grief. They are amazing people who need as much love and support they can get. We need your help to support the Godoys mentally, physically and financially. The funds will help cover funeral costs. Please help us spread the word. Every and any little contribution will go a long way. Let us come together to help James and baby Alexander during their difficult time. We thank you in advance. Your financial help will be a blessing for James and baby Alexander....

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Aurora.

I am part of a group of moms that support other moms in need. We call ourselves the Lil Mamas. One of our members lost her husband in this horrible shooting & we are the ones that organized an online fundraiser for his 6 children. And, now that we've meet & exceeded goals for that, we thought we would help some of the other mamas struggling through this senseless tragedy. My heart is breaking for you & your family. #mamafamilyforever

Employees are entirely eligible for a death benefit and funeral expenses to be paid by workers' compensation. It's very important that you apply for this prior to burial though in order for it to be covered. That way the money collected can be put towards the family's needs as the final expenses can and should be paid for by workers' compensation.

Our group of girlfriends has an annual get-together and gift exchange for Christmas. This year, we thought our budget would be better served giving. The host of this year's event chose that we give to a family of the San Bernadino victims for our donation, and we couldn't be happier to support that decision. All of our thoughts and prayers go out to you. May 2016 bring you love and happiness.
