The Transplant

To family, friends, and a helping hand, my name is Jacob and I need your help to support and surprise! A good friend of mine and fellow employee (Ivan Trejo, shown above on the left) has been battling a kidney disease called FSGS-- Focal Segmental Glomerolo Sclerosis (FSGS). FSGS is a rare disease that attacks the kidney’s filtering units (glomeruli) causing serious scarring which leads to permanent kidney damage and even failure. FSGS is one of the causes of a serious condition known as Nephrotic Syndrome.
About 2 weeks ago, Ivan had to stop working and start dialysis to help treat the disease until a donor was available. After contacting multiple hospitals and centers to find a donor, a miracle happened.
One of our co-workers was tested and is a MATCH. That associate is Mike Guzman (on the right). He has known Ivan for a long time and was more than willing help him and give him a kidney. Both of my friends will be out of work for an extended period and I want to help them.
After the surgery, Ivan is expected to out for 3-6 months and Mike will be out for 2-3 months. I, and the rest of the Honda of Fort Myers team is asking for your help to cover medical bills, medicine, and to help support Mike’s newborn child while he is out of work.
