I ask of you before reading to please have an open mind and heart.
Some of you may have known me for a while from the internet. Perhaps watched me grow and seen things I have done. I appreciate all of you for your endless love and support.
I am quite ashamed to go into detail about my private life as it's far from perfect but things are changing drastically for me now as far as my family life and the list could go on.
I am starting this campaign to help change my life for the better and for anyone who is kind and generous enough to understand how much a vehicle could help me with my depression and help me with my future goals.
I started my career as a model and was a novice to this industry. I fell for the glamour, the false promises, you name it. I had not a clue how to manage the small salary I have made as a model. It was just enough to get by and then some. So I was content at the time. Although I should have been saving and had not a clue about finances. As my education level is only up to 8th grade elementary.
My website now is making 1,000 a month which is below poverty level in the USA. I am currently under government medical assistance. I've spent years thinking I would get a raise or special treatment for how hard I have worked but in this business you are replaceable.
My single mother has lived with me in Las Vegas for about 6 years and her mother (my grandmother and my second mother) is now 86. She is starting to have memory issues and more fragile bones. I have tried to convince her a ton of times to come and live with me in Vegas so I could take care of her because she brings me happiness and has been there for me when I was 6 years old and ran away to her house to escape my abusive stepfather who physically abused me. She always provided a safe zone for me and protected me, she would buy me a doll if I wanted it even though I was a little boy. She didn't judge me, just pure love. We are also born on the same day, October 6th. I have to visit her once I have the extra money. But importantly my mother needs to take care of her now and will be leaving me June 1st. Alone in Las Vegas with out any means of transportation.
My mother has driven me for as long as I can remember because I am treated for anxiety and take a benzodiazepine from my psychiatrist. I also have a long history of depression ptsd and panic disorder but when I get out I feel so much better and my spirits are lifted, even just doing simple mundane things makes a difference.
Las Vegas is a very hot, high UV index desert environment and I am looking for a car that can safely protect my body as I still rely on that for my small income. Las Vegas does not have a great public transportation system and the last time I had been on a bus, I am quite the friendly and trusting type so with in minutes of a simple hello, a man had grouped me. It raises my anxiety a ton being around and stated at on public transportation. Waiting in the heat is not good to for my body and skin as I take a diuretic called spironolactone which is a water pill so I am easily dehydrated and always need to carry a water on me on that medication. Estrogen also makes you more sensitive to the sun by thinning the skin and being a red head it concerns me long term the harsh weather as there are tons of skin cancer clinics around Las Vegas. I am at high risk for that, as my grandma has a minor case of it as well.
My psychiatrist and therapist and close friends all think it's time for me to get a car so I can start enjoying my freedom and doing my errands and bringing my 5 puppies to the dog park! My psychiatrist also agrees I will need to take less benzodiazepines since I will driving and be busy and distracted rather then staying home all the time with my thoughts racing through my mind which causes me daily anxiety.
I can't wait to go to my psychiatrist, my therapist , the gym, go to yoga and perhaps aesthetician school eventually to since I will have a way to get there!
I am looking for a car that has space for my 5 puppies , an electric car that can be efficient. With much research I have decided that the Tesla model X or the chevy bolt would be great since it has the storage I would need for lugging photo equipment, my puppies. Most importantly it is safe and I need something safe to protect my body if god forbid an accident. I plan on taking a driving school which will pick me up in the Tesla car once it is purchased and will teach me how to drive and get my long overdue license.
I hope all of you can understand how much this would mean to me to have a safe car that could change my life forever and help me blossom into the next phase of my life where I can be more independent and able to drive and go places I need to go. I haven't left my home for a week now as I am writing this. :-/
