Rising Up

$1,801 of $10,000 goal

Raised by 35 people in 5 months
MADISON, WI I am a 54-year-old Marine Corps Veteran with a Service Connected Disability. I have been homeless for four years and do not have any family. From November of 2017 to April 2018,  I  lived in my van for six months. Spending winter in my was extremely difficult. I now live in a 10x7 feet camper. My two dogs live with me. A cell phone is my source of communication. I want to improve my quality of life, and that is why I hope you would consider helping me through my Rising Up campaign. My primary goals are to rise up, get permanent  housing, and fix my van which needs a transmission. I also want to resurrect my streaming broadcast studio called Red Dragon TV (  https://t.co/kGWzTVqE0m ‌). Although I lost track of 8.2 million live viewers, I know I can rebuild my audience and studio again. Red Dragon TV  was an Internet television broadcasting station that provided a highway for independent talent to be seen around the world. I thought of selling some of my music to make money, but I need a stable place to live to make that happen. Music is therapeutic for me; performing it helps me cope with PTSD.  https://t.co/k8cwdf0IlK I would love to use my musical talents to heal others who have faced extreme challenges, too.  I located a house where I could get a new start by having roomates which would help to bring in income to help with expenses. Once I get on my feet, I will help other veterans to rise up. I have not found a place yet. If I go over the amount needed to meet my goals, remaining funds would be used to help other veterans who need support. I appreciate any donations that can be made to help me. Spreading the word is appreciated. In the past, I was contacted by scammers who wanted me to pay to promote my campaign. With your help, I can properly get the word out this time. Donations of any amount will allow me to get closer to reaching goals. Wolf Howl Vlog Updates I will be doing regular updates here:  Wolf Howl Vlog ‌ Phase 1 To get a cheaper, seasonal campsite. (Still need $675.00) Phase 2 Try to purchase a used mobile home at the seasonal campsite. Phase 3 Get a 4 wheel drive pick up truck for winter. Phase 4 Get a 4 wheel drive pick up for Wisconsin winter. Phase 5 Find an affordable place to live. Phase 6 Resurrect Red Dragon TV. Focus will be on veterans and non veterans to help them rise up and obtain housing!

i am still at the campground. have not been able to locate permanent housing. part of me feels i may need to relocate someplace very rural. winter is quite painful for me.

i am pulling my small pop up camper up the hell to the camper i rented for the season. then will be attempting to install permanent walls between the fiberglass top and bottom. so it can be pulled around already set up behind the van.

my van has a lot of mechanical issues, bald tires, non working tail lights. really need something better for a vehicle. so that i can travel to warmer places.

Hello, going to try and locate a trailer. Found a few on craigslist for under 1k. I would then proceed to build a tiny house on it. Winter is just around the corner and i don't have much interest in living in the canvas pop up. It is to small to build a tiny house on. Have not found much for housing opportunities and need to do something now.... before winter hits.

This is #TheWolfsDen at #CampRedDragon

The camper is not in the best of shape. However it is my home for now. The tent has all my things that i had in storage. A savings of 75.00 per month in rental fees. 1140.00 of the go fund me funds raised purchased the tent and went toward the costs of a seasonal rate for the campsite. 500.00 came out of my 600.00 a month pension. Funds will be limited for the month, but i am safe and no longer in the swamp. Most of the people here are more to my type of individuals too. Which makes it much easier. I am speaking with the campground owner today about a possible upgrade. He has several campers for sale. Please share this gofundme on your social media sites and mailing lists. Thank you - AJ

I was able to secure a seasonal campsite. It depleted all funds donated and my personal finances saved. Nothing left over for basic needs. Please consider sharing my fundraiser on your social media sites. Thanks for all of your help!!!
