Army SSG Alex Jauregui lost both legs, suffered significant hearing loss in both ears, and sustained extensive injuries to his right hand and forearm when he stepped on an improvised explosive device (IED) in Sangsar, Afghanistan on April 8, 2012.
This past March, Homes for Our Troops (hfotusa.org) completed construction on a specially adapted home in Woodland, CA for SSG Alex Jauregui which has helped restore some of the freedom and independence Alex sacrificed while defending our country.
Unfortunately, on December 16th Alex's home was broken into and an estimated $85,000 worth of cash and valuables were stolen (some of which can never be replaced due to sentimental value) and his insurance will only cover a small portion of what he lost.
During this Christmas season Alex was focused on giving his children a very special Christmas and due to the recent events he will have to shift that focus to the matters at hand.
Now is our opportunity to give back to Alex, who gave so much for his country. So please join us, Patriots for Veterans, and help Alex replace what he lost. Any donation is a huge blessing.
