"Logan E. Nelson, 21, of Elkhart, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident on C.R. 17 in Elkhart.

Logan, a college Junior at Indiana Wesleyan University, graduated from Concord High School in 2014, where he was a proud member of the Concord Marching Minutemen's drumline. Twenty-one years is far too few to have spent with a young man who laughed easy, gave freely, and loved fiercely.

Logan was a protective brother, a loving son, and a friend to all. No words could ever capture the truly remarkable way that Logan lived his life, or the depth of character that he exhibited at all times. The wake of his absence will be felt for years to come."
