So, we are asking for your help make our home handicapped accessible for all three of our children who depend on wheelchairs! The cost to accomplish this goal is $100,000. This includes accessible bathrooms, bedrooms and a therapy room. We also need an elevator to enable them to spend time with the rest of our family! Please help us provide a safe, accessible area for our kids to continue to thrive and give them every opportunity to live as normal and happy life as possible. They are blessings to our family! Meet our special kids!!! We have five AMAZING kids, four that we were lucky enough to adopt! All four of our adopted kiddos have special needs and three of them are dependent on wheelchairs.
Angel is six years old and is wheelchair dependent. She requires a trach, ventilator and feeding tube. She was born to two great people that are developmentally delayed so they are not able to care for her, however, they do get to come see her and have become part of our family!
Next, we have Rylee. Rylee was a healthy baby girl that suffered a severe brain injury at two months of age due to shaken baby syndrome. She is now six years old and unable to walk or talk. She is blind and also dependent on a feeding tube.
Third, we have Ashaun. Ashaun was also a typical child until he was almost two. He then also suffered a severe brain injury due to shaken baby syndrome and is now unable to walk or talk and in also blind and depends on a feeding tube.
Finally, we have Kayden, age six. Kayden was born nine weeks early addicted to heroin, cocaine and alcohol. She depended on a feeding tube for a few years until she was able to eat enough to get it out! Yay!
Kayden is able to walk and talk but struggles with transitions and sensory issues.
