our house burned down

Donation protected
About 1:15 am on friday the 22nd January our (William Bates, Colette Gjuka, Norma Gjuka and Alice Bates) house caught fire where it and my mother in laws house connected. Thankfully, we were all able to make it out of the fire unharmed, along with all 3 dogs, but so far we have only found one of the 5 cats. We were unable to move our car and it caught fire and was destroyed. The mother in law's car and our truck were damaged but repairable.

We have currently have an RV we can live in, but a car, personal electronics, my glasses, Norma's glasses, and all the basic things of life need replaced. We still have goats, poultry, pigs, sheep, alpacas, dogs and the one cat we have found after the fire to take care of. We need an electrician person to make needed repairs to have the power to our well and shop building restored. And eventually we will need to deal with the remains of our home and find a permanant housing solution.

Norma is a retired teacher, my wife is being laid off from Cascades Job Corps Center at the end of January, and I am Veteran who is on disability. The timing of this fire couldnt be much worse. Because our home was a pair of older mobile homes, nothing was insured, and the cars only had liability.

Thank you so much for your help. We have discovered our friends are many and we have been overwhelmed with offers of help and people asking where they can donate money.
