Help me stay in my home

I live in a 2 bedroom duplex that I've lived in for almost 11 years. My son and his girlfriend have lived with me for the past 2 years and helped with rent and utilities.  I had other roommates before they moved in. On November 21st they moved out with no notice and having paid only half of the rent. I've been trying to sell everything I have worth selling, have tried to find a roommate without success.  I have filled out applications for low income housing but there are waiting lists. I'm 65 years old, am unable to work due to physical issues and live on Social Security of less than $800 a month. Any money received will go toward rent and utilities until I am able to find another place to live or find a new roommate. I explained the situation to my landlord and he is not willing to work with me. I paid him as much as I could afford but he wants the entire amount, which I don't have. I'd be so grateful if someone, anyone could help me out. If not, I'll be out on the street by January. I'm desperate or else I wouldn't be doing this. It's embarrassing and humiliating but I have no alternative right now. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
