Love For Lennon

Donation protected
On April 19, 2017, Brandy and Ryan were overjoyed to welcome their beautiful miracle and third daughter Lennon Rae into the world. Even though she was four weeks early, she appeared perfectly healthy with a full head of black hair and big dimples.
After a routine newborn screening, it was discovered that Lennon has a very rare and devastating recessive gene disorder, Krabbe Disease ( also known as globoid cell leukodystrophy or galactosyleramide lipidosis). (Read more on Krabbe Disease at http:ulf.org/krabbe-disease/ )
The screening for Krabbe Disease is currently only administered in a few states including Ohio. The state of Ohio adopted a law adding it to the newborn screening just last July. Brandy and Ryan feel so incredibly blessed that Lennon was born after the test was added as this gives Lennon , and other babies like her , the very best chance for a healthy life.
Soon Lennon will undergo a cord blood stem cell transplant as treatment for her condition. Before this treatment can occur, Lennon will recieve aggressive Chemotherapy to prevent her body from rejecting the transplant. The earlier this treatment occurs, the better the expected outcome. Lennon will be admitted Monday May 8th to begin the preparation for her transplant.
At this time the family asks, most of all ,for your prayers. Please pray God's hand will be on the doctors-giving them wisdom and ability beyond their own. Please pray for strength and endurance for Lennon as she undergoes difficult treatment. And please pray for her parents, Brandy and Ryan , and her sisters, Rylan and Halle, as they fight alongside Lennon. Pray they are joined again as a complete family, whole and healthy, when treatment ends.
The expenses incurred with these very involved treatment regimens, travel, lodging, and time away from work can be very overwhelming. Our goal with this page is that we can raise much needed support for Brandy and Ryan so they can focus solely on the care of sweet Lennon . Every little bit given is a blessing and will go a long way to helping the Foster family.
Thank you  for reading Lennon's story. Please keep her in your prayers.
