Phelps Funeral

Donation protected

Today Brandon Phelps, a talented young skater was killed by an intoxicated 47 year old driver. It is unclear if it was drugs, alcohol or both were affecting the driver. Brandon had been at his best friends annual birthday party at a condo in Port Aransas, TX. He left to go skating alone late last night. His friends asked him, "why do you skate all the time? Come in and chill with us." And he said, "cause that's how you get better." Brandon said that all the time. Shortly after he was hit, the driver was caught, however Brandon had to be halo flighted to the Bay Area hospital. His injuries included severe head trama, internal bleeding, as well as a broken leg. They worked on him from approximately 11:30pm until almost 8 in the morning... when he then passed. Brandon is 1 of 4 boys, he doesn't know his mother well and when he was younger he was in and out of foster care. His aunt Julie took care of him for all the years following. He was loved by many and one of Corpus Christi's finest skaters. Tonight his friends are planning a skate for phelps night at 6pm at the Port Aransas skate park. Benjamin skate and surf shop sponsored him as a skater, and will also be accepting donations all week. The skate shop is planning another event like this for the coming weekend. Exact details are unknown at this time, contact the shop for more information. There are no set funeral plans at this time, and he has no medical insurance. Kiii news is following the story. Any and all donations are accepted. However, we ask more than anything for your prayers.
