Many of you have seen the viral video of the 25 yr old woman in Alabama jumping out of the trunk of a moving vehicle to save her life - unfortunately, that was my best friend Brittany Diggs. On Tuesday, March 14th, Brittany was held at gunpoint in front of her apartment after coming home from work. This stranger took everything from her and made her get in the trunk of her own car. He alluded to doing vile things which encouraged her to save herself. With the help of her insulin pump, she was able to find the lever, jump out and save her life! Brittany jumped with nothing to lose but also nothing to come back. She appreciates all of the words of encouragement, love and prayers she has witnessed! Wow, watching your story gave me chills. You did something that made so many people I know go into their trunk and check to see where this latch was. So sorry this happened to you Brittany. Sometimes God uses us in difficult situations to help someone else. This dramatic event for you is going to be a blessing to someone else, you were strong enough to handle it. Girl, when I saw how strong you were as you ran into the store and away from the car...That was amazing! You are one determined and forward thinking person. Thank you for allowing others to see how you handled the situation because you did not just sit there- you acted, you used your wits and self preservation instincts. You are an inspiration. I have 2 daughters and nobody should go through this but you found the right time and acted quickly. I know you will finish your studies and will be safe and successful.

Glad you were able to keep your wits about you in a terrifying situation. Not sure many people could have done the same in such an intense setting. I imagine ANYONE and any Hospital will be lucky to have someone like you caring for them, and in their employ. Dear young sister, when I saw the video of your harrowing experience, as a father of two young girls my heart leapt into my throat like many others who watched it, I am so glad that God helped you by the help of angels of mercy by your side. So glad you are safe, you are a brave, bright young woman, please don't let this experience derail your dreams. You have good friends, the public supports you, there are bad people everywhere but there are many more good people.
