Taya's Faithful Fight With Cancer

Donation protected
Taya has recently been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that's called a Ewing Sarcoma. It's a soft-tissue tumor between her tibia and fibula in her lower left leg. It is about 7-8 centimeters in size and is aggressive. Due to its aggressive nature, she will receive chemotherapy, radiation, and then surgery to remove the tumor once it is smaller and dead. The chemotherapy will be in increments of 4-8 hours for 4-7 days with 2-3 weeks in between to recover. The whole process will take a year to year-and-a-half. Because of the intensity of the treatment, she will no longer be going to school. She will be doing home-hospital through the district and will still graduate and attend senior activities.Taya will receive treatment at Cedars-Sinai down in Los Angles. This hospital is "the hospital" in the United States for cancer patients. She have a wonderful team of doctors, surgeons, nurses, dietitians, and therapists that are helping her through this journey. However, since her cancer is one of the most rare forms it only occurs in people ages 10-20. Due to this, each time she needs treatment, we will need to travel down to Los Angeles to be treated by specialists and stay a week at a time. It will be very expensive and time consuming. Due to this, she will need all the help she can get because CANCER. IS. EXPENSIVE. Thank you!
