Help Me Board My Dog!

Donation protected
My eight year old daughter was diagnosed with stage four chronic kidney disease in May of 2016. Life has been a whirlwind ever since, dealing with meds, doctors, and appointments.

At the end of March 2017, we are going to Seattle Children's Hospital for her evaluation for a future kidney transplant. That will take a few days; during that time a neighbor will look after our family dog, Bella.

When my daughter actually receives her transplant, we will need to return to Seattle on short notice and it is a minimum stay of three months, possibly as long as four, making sure her body does not reject her new donated kidney.

We adopted Bella five years ago from the local shelter. She is a sweet black lab mix who loves all the kids and taking long walks. I don't want to end up taking her back to the local shelter and hoping she'll be there to re-adopt when we return. She is now seven years, starting to show her age, and we love her a lot.

I want to board her during that time, so she'll be taken care of, exercised, and socialised. A local boarding kennel that also offers doggie daycare requires $500 upfront (for stays over 30 days), and is about $32, per day. Plus tax and processor fees.

I don't know when my daughter will receive her call for a transplant. I am trying to be as prepared as possible. Please help. Any little bit helps; please share this even if you can't donate. Thank you for reading this.
