Erwin is an incredibly hard-working and motivated senior at Stamford High School in Stamford, Connecticut. He has never had things easy, and has always risen to meet any challenge presented to him. In his few short years in the United States, he has managed to learn English so well that he has become a mentor to others and has earned grades worthy of membership to the National Honor Society. He is the type of student who spends his study hall volunteering to help students in other classrooms and frequently tutors students at a local elementary school.

Two days after Christmas 2017, Erwin was at work at a restaurant when a car plowed through the wall resulting in his leg getting badly damaged. Erwin was brought to the hospital where he had to have his leg amputated.

Life has presented Erwin with another challenge. If there is anybody who can rise to meet such a challenge it is Erwin. However, he will need the collective support of all of us. This go fund me page has been established to be able to provide Erwin with some financial support for the long road to recovery that lies ahead of this incredible young man.

Thank you everyone for your generosity and well wishes to Erwin. He is truly an amazing human being! I have been informed that Erwin has begun planning the road to recovery less than a week after his surgery. He is moving his muscles, wants to plan rehabilitation immediately and has asked SHS to help him develop a plan so that he can graduate this spring. Needless to say, WE ARE ON IT! Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
-with immense gratitude
