Prayers for Papa

On April 14th, my dad, loving husband, father of 3 and Papa to 5 grandkids was brutally beaten while he was walking down the street.
A good Samaritan called 911 and my dad woke up in the ambulance. He was taken to Scripps La Jolla and treated for a fractured nose, bruised and swollen leg, and bleeding of the brain. As I write this he is still in the hospital as they are still monitoring the bleeding on his brain.
This Go-Fund-Me is for Papa, my dad. A 64 year old man of God, Husband, Father to three amazing daughters and Papa to 5 wonderful little humans.
My dad won his stage 2 bladder cancer fight last year, and my mom has been holding it down while my dad recovered. Upon feeling like himself again, my dad started working out and Ministering to people in need at his local church.
This is the first Go-Fund-Me I've ever done and I really want to help my dad with his medical bills and financial setback that have come out of this hurtful crime.
My heart hurts for my dad who went through this, my mom who has to witness her husband in pain and for the person that felt the urge or need to do this to my dad.
The money is urgently needed to cover the financial hit my parents have taken and will follow for my dad to make a healthy recovery.
The money raised will be used for:
- Medical Bills and Treatment
- Living expenses ( as my mom will need to help my dad recover which means she can't work full time)
- Physical Therapy or Holistic Treatments to get my dad back together.
About my dad
He's a silly, introvert, disguised as an extrovert, embarrassing his daughters any chance he can get and always telling people how much God loves them.
To his 5 grandchildren (15,12,9,3,3mo) he's Papa, someone that always takes them cool places, sends them awesome toys, gave them their first Bible and helps correct them when mom or dad need some back up.
About What happened
My dad was walking to pick up my mom's car from getting detailed 4 blocks from his house. He said hi to a man he saw on occasion and continued walking. Before he new it, the man he said hi to punched him in the head and kicked him when he fell to the ground.
My dad was on the ground and brutally beaten, repeatedly kicked and badly hurt.
It is still unclear the motive for why this man beat up my dad. The police have an open investigation and may or may not find the guy. The damage he did to my dad was done out of hate and rage and no one should ever have to be on the end of that.
My heart is heavy and hurts to see others in pain or mistreated not matter the reason.
My dad was wearing his I can do all things through Christ shirt when the attack happened. My mom told me that after he got stunned by being hit from behind and went down he didn't have time to defend himself - he started praying. Thank God, someone called to help my dad.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through [a]Christ who strengthens me.
To the man that hurt my dad, I don't know why you did this - not sure what was going through your head, but know that my family and I are praying for you and that you get the help that you need. God loves you and I do pray that you can experience His love through this situation - please know you have people praying for you as well.
To my dad, my heart hurts for you. I wish you didn't have to go through this - I have this feeling deep in my stomach each time I think about how you are hurting. I know God has you! He will not fail you.
To my mom, you are so strong and my heart is with you as you stand by your husband during this challenging time. I am praying for your strength to be renewed and God gives you peace beyond your understanding.
