I never imagined I would need to make one of these, but medical scares come with financial difficulties. My mom is one of the greatest women I have in my life and she's not doing well and we really need some help right now so she can return home. On January 31st my mom was having severe headaches which lead her to have a brain aneurysm. The doctors at Fort Hamilton caught it in time and rushed her to UC where she has been under amazing care from Dr. Ringer and the neurology department. Friday February 3rd, my mom went under her second surgery where the mission was to clip the aneurysm to block blood from getting inside. During her procedure her aneurysm ruptured but her surgeon was quick to act, and cleaned up most of the blood but some blood was still left on her brain. Her aneurysm was clipped successfully and they had closely monitored her over the course of 5-6 days. They had warned us of possible complications due to blood being on her muscles to cause spasms and a high risk of stroke due to her blood vessels restricting. Through the night on February 8th, my beautiful mother suffered a stroke, leaving her right side unresponsive and her ability to speak gone. At this moment in time I'm unaware of the severity and if this is temporary or permanent. My mother, Jeff and I have never needed everyones help as much as now. This has been the hardest week of my life seeing my mom in this condition, and not knowing if we will ever be able to exchange words again. I hate to think about money at this time, but unfortunately it needs to be addressed. My moms life means more to me than any amount of money ever will, but we are asking to donate what you can to help. If you can't donate, prayers are certainly appreciated. Thank you.
