Fixing It Forward

$13,120 of $20,000 goal

Fixing It Forward is an initiative I started in the spring of 2015.  The idea is to help people in need with their auto repairs.  I have a successful auto repair channel on YouTube, EricTheCarGuy . On that channel I produce auto repair videos that can be used by the viewers to repair their own vehicles.

This year I decided to try something new by helping people in need directly with their auto repair issues. Fixing It Forward is meant to help the elderly, the infirm, the financially challenged, veterans, and the spouses of veterans with their auto repair issues.

I have sponsors that sometimes donate parts and tools to the cause, but there are times where I need things that may not be available through those channels. This is why I'm starting this fund.  Well, that and I had several fans reach out requesting a way to donate to the cause. I have the best fanbase ever.

100% of the money received from this fund will go toward helping the recipients of the Fixing It Forward project.  In other words, the fund will be used to pick up where sponsorship leaves off. I appreciate anything you’re willing to donate. Any amount is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

This month I am 69, old enough to remember, fondly I might add, the era of the sixties in cars.

LOve you and your work. You reach the million viewer threshold congratulations. I want to support you with a small contribution. It is your caring attitude, intrinsic instruction and your personal character development and evolution, that makes you absolutely trust worthy. Some techs hold back and have an arrogant attitude towards us for asking for help, they rationalize there defensiveness with negative commentary, " it is not their job to help us" the commoners", this attitude has back fired on Danner Scanner and some others, who indulge in an authoritarian cliquish mob rule that often abuses the seekers by side tracking from clues and evidences described in car issue. you, however stand out as the most caring loving trusting character in videos with scanner danner were it is picked up by the group watching that you have pull teeth to paul to explain circuitary. I always reminded paul lets not forget Eric the car man who introduced me to scanner danner he seems to hold back perhaps he has rescue care taker issues often resenting the caring demand. So Eric, you are more organic feeling human being in comparison to scanner danner, you stand out because you are not a machine, were as scanner danner comes across as offensive in a primadona like manner and machine like. I love and for certain the millions do too your work and character! Respectfully, Alex the ex-actor, World trade Center paramedic and DIY car repair novice. As I learn to work on cars myself, my dream of doing exactly what Eric is with this charity has materialized. I am of limited means myself, and can completely appreciate how much of an impact this kind of help can have.

I donated because I really like the idea of paying it forward. I am a high school auto shop teacher. I have many opportunities to pay it forward with my students. Thank you for helping a wider audience.

I donate because God has blessed me with a natural aptitude for repairing all things: mechanical, Electrical & Electronic and in my applying these gifts He has prospered me. However, I do realize that not all people were born with mechanical aptitude to repair their own vehicles nor do some even have the financial resources to pay for such services. So, I am happy to give what I can...when I can, in order to help Eric / ETCG1 & the Fixing it Forward Project and in so doing...all that they help. :-)
