Ride for Brain Repair CBD, CBN, THC

My name is Dave Lewis, on the 14th March 2003, I was involved in a motorcycle accident and sustained a defused brain injury leaving me in a coma for 43 days and with injuries that affect my ability to live a normal life. 

After regaining consciousness, my doctors began suggesting nursing homes and full-time care options, as according to the current medical program, I would never walk, talk or be independent again.   If you can imagine the shock I was in, as my previous memories included living the normal life of a 22-year-old man.  

I had dreams and aspirations that may never be fulfilled.  But now with the help of YOU, I will be able to live the dreams that I am aspiring to.  Beginning with a ride for research regarding the potential for cannabinoid therapy on brain plasticity, including; regrowth, repair and reconnections of motor neurons and damaged brain tissue.

Under the name Down low Downunder, I am planning a trip on my tricycle to the United in Compassion medical cannabis symposium in Sydney May 2016.  The aimof the ride is to promote research into the use of medical cannabis and the potential for the regrowth of motor neurons in the brain and to increase my own knowledge on the subject.  Research in the area is currently limited, however, preliminary research indicates cannabinoids may positively affect motor neuron repair

The money raised from this GoFundMe project will be used to pay for the trip. Including, running a support vehicle and all the spare parts associated with the trip.  In addition, funds from this project will go towards adding a power assist engine to my trike that will help me through the hills and troughs that I experience both physically on the road and emotionally as I come to grips with the being potentially independent once again after 13 years of dependence.

This is very important to me as it will assist me to regain independence in my life and go on a journey of self-discovery.
