Help Alfred See Again

Donation protected
Our loyal, awesome dog Alfred was recently diagnosed as diabetic. As is almost always the case, he developed cataracts almost overnight and he can no longer see. He walks into walls, and can't even find food that is directly in front of him.He has been my daughter Haley's best friend for years. We weren't that interested in him when we went to the shelter, but he immediately took to Haley, so we knew he was the one for us.I am disabled and spend most of my days home alone with him. He rarely leaves my side, and is very empathetic when I am most down with my health. He just "knows" that I'm not well, and he lays at my side.He is Haley's best friend. They play together all the time, with her frequently dressing him up, which he is oddly comfortable with. If you've ever been to our house, you know how much a part of our family he is.Cataract surgery in one eye will cost around $1,500. He isn't an old dog, and he has plenty more years to love and play. I want my buddy to have at least one good eye.I know this is a trivial thing to many. Until we had Alfred, I would have scoffed at getting a dog cataract surgery. He is a special dog, though. He is kind, loving, and loyal to all of us. He's part of the family. Please help me to help him. He's too young to be so limited. It has happened so fast, and you can tell that he is scared. He doesn't understand what has happened.Thank you.
